SUBJECT:
Update on DC Government Employee Eligibility for COVID-19 Vaccine
On Monday, April 12, the District opened vaccine eligibility to all DC residents ages 16 and up. All DC Government employees, contractors and volunteers who are DC residents are called upon to pre-register for the vaccine today.
By Monday, April 19, Maryland and Virginia will also open vaccine eligibility to their residents ages 16 and up. DC Government employees, contractors and volunteers are encouraged to pre-register with and get vaccinated in their state of residence.
To pre-register for the vaccine in your state:
· For DC residents, go to vaccinate.dc.gov or call 1-855-363-0333.
As a reminder, as a DC Government employee, you are provided two (2) hours of administrative leave to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, per vaccination shot, if you are scheduled to receive the shot during hours for which you would otherwise be scheduled to work.
We also need you to reach out to your friends, family, and neighbors and talk to them about their plans to pre-register and get vaccinated. The vaccines currently being administered are safe, effective, and the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and our community against COVID-19.
