Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspections from April 12 through April 15, 2021
(Washington, DC) -- The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections beginning April 12 through April15, 2021.
Locations and operational hours are shown below:
Westbound I-395 under 14th Street N.W., left lane closure of Westbound I-395 under 14th Street followed by a right lane and shoulder closure of Westbound I-395 under 14th Street on Monday, April 12 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
I-395 HOV under 14th Street N.W., left shoulder closure of Westbound I-395 HOV under 14th Street followed by a right shoulder closure of the Eastbound I-395 HOV under 14th Street on Tuesday, April 13 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Westbound I-695 over M Street, S.E.; CSX Tracks; Southeast Expressway; and 11th Street, S.E., alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound I-695 over M Street, S.E.; CSX Tracks; Southeast Expressway; and 11th Street, S.E. on Wednesday, April 14 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
11th Street, S.E., under Westbound I-695, alternating lane closures of Northbound 11th Street, S.E., under Westbound I-695 followed by alternating lane closures of Southbound 11th Street, S.E., under Westbound I-695 on Thursday, April 15 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
M Street, S.E., under Westbound I-695, right lane closure of Eastbound M Street, S.E., under Westbound I-695 followed by a right lane closure of Westbound M Street, S.E., under Westbound I-695, on Thursday, April 15 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
