Temporary Lane Closure on New Jersey Avenue over CSX Railroad and Virginia Avenue SE Begin April 12

(Washington, DC) --  The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close a single lane of New Jersey Avenue over CSX and Virginia Avenue, SE beginning April 12 through April 30, 2021, weather permitting. 

Temporary lane closures will be in place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  

DDOT will close a single lane on New Jersey Avenue over CSX Railroad and Virginia Avenue SE, to perform a series of preventive maintenance activities.  

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
