COVID-19 Vaccine
Thank you for pre-registering through the District’s portal to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
This message is to inform you that you are still in the COVID-19 vaccination pre-registration system and in line to receive an appointment. When it is your turn, the system will send you an invitation link to register.
We know it can be stressful to wait and we thank you for your patience.
How the pre-registration system works
The system randomly generates links to book appointments from the eligible pool of registrants. Due to limited supply of vaccine, it may take weeks or longer for you to receive an invitation to book an appointment.
Invitations to book appointments are sent:
- Thursdays by 10:00 a.m.
- Sundays by 10:00 a.m.
- Tuesdays by 10:00 a.m. (only if any appointments remain to be filled)
Please continue to check your email (and spam folder) for an invitation on these days. Once you receive an invitation, you will have 48 hours to book an appointment. If you do not book an appointment, your name will go back in the pre-registration system. It is only after three unanswered invitations that you will need to register in the system again.
Other ways to book an appointment
Hospitals and health care centers in DC are also vaccinating eligible individuals. While you continue to wait for an invitation, you can also reach out to your doctor or health care provider about getting vaccinated.
Additionally, this month, DC Health launched a new partnership with CVS pharmacies. Currently, the populations that are eligible to get vaccinated through this partnership include: school staff, child care workers, health care workers, and DC residents 65 and older. If you are eligible to get vaccinated through this partnership you can register for an appointment directly through the CVS website when appointments are available.
Thank you for your patience as we work to get all Washingtonians vaccinated.
