Temporary Lane Closures on Chesapeake Street SW on-ramp to Northbound I-295 from March 29, 2021

                                                       

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will begin work at the Chesapeake Street, SW on-ramp to I-295 Northbound on March 29 2021 and will run through August 13 2021, weather permitting. Travel will be maintained in the existing lane for approximately one week then shift left to an adjacent temporary pavement lane during construction of the new ramp.

 

The roadwork will be from 7am-5pm.

 

Periodic lane closures will be required for equipment mobilization, utility upgrades, and pavement work, including guardrail installations associated with this location as part of multiple DDOT improvement projects along the I-295/DC 295 corridor.
