Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspections from March 29 through March 30, 2021

                                                         

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections on March 29 through March 30, 2021, weather permitting, at the following locations:

 

Ramp from Southbound I-695 to Eastbound I-295 over Connector Ramps (listed below):

  • over Ramp from Southbound I-695 to Westbound I-295
  • and Ramp from Eastbound I-295 to Northbound I-695
  • and Ramp from Westbound I-295 to 11th Street S.E.

Alternating right and left lane closures of Ramp from Southbound I-695 to Eastbound I-295 over Connector Ramps on March 29 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

The ramp from Southbound I-695 to Westbound I-295 and Ramp the  from Eastbound I-295 to Northbound I-695 under Ramp from Southbound I-695 to Eastbound I-295, the crew will be conducting alternating right and left lane closures followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Ramp from Eastbound I-295 to Northbound I-695 under Ramp from Southbound I-695 to Eastbound I-295 on March 30 during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
