Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspections from March 24 through March 26, 2021

                                   

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will- temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections from March 24 through March 26, 2021, weather permitting. The locations are as follows:

 

Ramp from Northbound South Capitol Street, S.W. to SW Freeway/I-695 over South Capitol Street, S.W. and under SW Freeway/I-695, left closure of the ramp from Northbound South Capitol Street, S.W. to Westbound S.W. Freeway/I-695 under S.W. Freeway/I-695 on Wednesday, March 24, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

Kenilworth Avenue under Eastern Avenue, N.E., alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Kenilworth Avenue under Eastern Avenue, N.E. followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Kenilworth Avenue under Eastern Avenue, N.E. on Friday, March 26, during the hours of 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, weather permitting.

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
