Temporary Lane Closures on I-395 (Dwight D Eisenhower Freeway) Southbound and Northbound between New York Avenue NW and the Virginia Bridges starting March 11, 2021         

     

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to temporarily close one lane and the adjacent shoulder of traffic on I-395 (Dwight D Eisenhower Freeway) Southbound and Northbound, between New York Ave NW and the Virginia Bridges, starting on or about Thursday, March 11, 2021, weather permitting. All other lanes will be open to traffic at all times.  

 

The closures and restrictions are needed to perform drain inlet cleaning. The contractor is authorized to work Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Construction is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday, March 23, 2021, weather permitting.

 

A mobile work crew will be closing one lane and the adjacent shoulder at a time. Traffic control devices will be in place. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone
