Temporary Lane Shift and Parking Closure on Kenilworth Avenue NE starting Monday, February 22, 2021

(Washington, DC)—The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will begin roadway construction on the 1001-1299 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE (northbound service road) between Nannie H. Burroughs Avenue NE and Polk Street NE. Work will include a lane shift and the temporary prohibition of on-street parking so that work can be performed at the west side of the roadway.

This work will begin Monday, February 22, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, and will continue for approximately two months.

Periodic lane closures will be required for equipment mobilization, utility upgrades, and pavement work, including guardrail installations associated with this location as part of multiple DDOT improvement projects along the I-295/DC 295 corridor.

Variable Message Boards will be up to alert the public to this work.
