Bridge and Tunnel Inspection Schedule
for the Week of January 4

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

 

  • East Capitol Street under Minnesota Avenue NE left lane closure of westbound East Capitol Street under Minnesota Avenue followed by alternating right and left lane closures of eastbound East Capitol Street under Minnesota Avenue NE on Monday, January 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
  • I-295 southbound over 11th Street, I-695 connector ramps and Good Hope Road SE left lane closure on Tuesday, January 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
  • 9th Street Expressway under C Street SW narrowing of the ramp to the Southbound 9th Street Expressway followed by a left southbound lane closure on Wednesday, January 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting
  • E Street Expressway, NW, under 23rd Street NW alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound E Street Expressway, NW, under 23rd Street NW followed by alternating right and left lane closures of westbound E Street Expressway under 23rd Street NW on Friday, January 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
