Temporary Lane Closures on Suitland Parkway and Anacostia Freeway on December 8, 2020
(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT)
will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:
Suitland Parkway under Anacostia Freeway (I-295) alternating right and left lane closures of Southbound Suitland Parkway followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Northbound Suitland parkway on Tuesday, December 8, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
Anacostia Freeway (I-295) over Suitland Parkway alternating right and left lane closures of Eastbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295) followed by alternating right and left lane closures of Westbound Anacostia Freeway (I-295) on Tuesday, December 8, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
