DDOT Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspections in Multiple Locations from November 9 through November 19, 2020

Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge and Tunnel Inspections in Multiple Locations from November 9 through November 19, 2020

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections. weather permitting:

Anacostia Freeway Eastbound Exit Ramp over Good Hope Road alternating right and left lane closures  on Monday, November 9, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Westbound Southwest Freeway (I-695) over Half Street to 2^nd Street, S.W., right lane closure on Tuesday, November 10, from 10:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Ramp from Northbound South Capitol Street to Westbound Southwest Freeway (I-695) left shoulder closure on Tuesday, November 10, from 12:30 pm to 3 pm

14^th Street over I-395 Lane A-1 and I-395 alternating lane closures of Northbound 14^th Street followed by alternating shoulder closures of Southbound 14^th Street on Thursday, November 12, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Ramp from Southbound I-395 to Eastbound Southeast Freeway (I-695) under the Southeast Freeway alternating right and left lane closures on Friday, November 13, from 10:00 to 3:00 pm

9^th Street Tunnel (173) Right Lane and middle lane on Sunday, November 15th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

I-395 Ramp under SW Freeway (1101) left lane closure alternating to a right lane closure on Sunday November 15th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

12^th Street Tunnel under the SW freeway (1113) northbound right lane closure on Monday November 16th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

I-66 Tunnel under Virginia Ae (1302) southbound left lanes then right lanes closure on Tuesday November 17th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

I-66 Tunnel under Virginia Ae (1302) northbound left lanes then right lanes closure on Wednesday November 18th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

I-66 Tunnel under Virginia Ae (1302) northbound left lanes then right lanes closure on Thursday November 19th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

12^th Street Tunnel South (172S) both lanes closure on Sunday, November 8th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am and Monday November 9th from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

12^th Street Tunnel North (172N) left lanes closure alternating to a right lane closure on Monday November 9th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

12^th Street Tunnel under the SW freeway (1113) northbound right lane closure on Monday November 9th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

I-66 Tunnel under Virginia Ae (1302) southbound right lane closure on Monday November 9th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

I-395 Ramp under SW Freeway (1101) right lane closure on Monday November 9th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

9^th Street Tunnel (173) Bus Bay Lane only on Monday November 9th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

9^th Street Tunnel (173) Left Lane and middle on Tuesday November 10th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

9^th Street Tunnel (173) Alternating lanes on Wednesday November 11th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

9^th Street Tunnel (173) Right Lane and middle lane on Thursday November 12th, from 8:00 pm to 4:30am

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
