Overnight Temporary Lane Closures on DC-295 from November 9 through November 13, 2020 

 

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close lanes of traffic on DC-295 beginning Monday, November 9, 2020 through Friday, November 13, 2020 to perform bridge repair work, weather permitting.

 

DDOT will temporarily close lanes on the following sequences: 

  • Two left lanes of DC-295 northbound and one left lane and shoulder of DC-295 southbound from the 11th Street SE Bridge to Pennsylvania Avenue SE will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 13, 2020. At least one lane of traffic will be open to motorists during the work.
  • One right lane of DC-295 northbound and right lane of DC-295 southbound and shoulder from Pennsylvania Avenue SE to the 11th Street SE Bridge to Pennsylvania Avenue SE will be closed from 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 13, 2020. At least one lane of traffic will be open to motorists during the work.

Closures will happen on both northbound and southbound DC-295 at the same time.

 

All traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate delays due to the lane is closure. Drivers are advised to take an alternate route or alternate travel times to avoid delays, stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the work zone.
