Traffic Pattern Change on New Jersey Avenue NW on October 12, 2020
(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) advises motorists to expect traffic pattern changes on New Jersey Avenue NW between K Street NW and I (Eye) Street NW beginning on or about October 12, 2020.
This traffic pattern change is a part of the final traffic configuration to convert New Jersey Avenue NW from its current one-way configuration to two-way operations. This conversion will be completed in phases. The following changes will be in place and are further exhibited in the graphics below:
New Jersey Avenue NW will accommodate southbound traffic between K Street NW and I (Eye) Street NW. From the K Street NW intersection, traffic will be able to turn south onto New Jersey Avenue NW towards I (Eye) Street NW.
Traffic controls will be in place to guide motorists through the work zone safely. Motorists are advised to stay alert and be observant of signage and road work crews while traveling in this area.
