Temporary Lane Closures in Multiple Locations on October 2 through October 4, 2020  

 

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT)

will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

  • SE/SW Freeway over 11th Street SE in The District of Columbia Bridge Network. This work will be performed on Friday starting at 8:00 pm, October 2, 2020 through Sunday October 4, 2020 till 5:00 am, weather permitting. There will be a single lane closure in the eastbound direction and a single lane closure in the westbound direction.
  • Southeast Freeway (I-695) from Virginia Avenue/Second Street, S.E., to South Capitol Street, S.W., left Westbound lane closure followed by left Eastbound lane closure on Friday, October 2, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting. 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
