Temporary Lane Closures for Bridge Repairs on Benning Road Service Road over Kenilworth Avenue SE
(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will conduct bridge preservation and repair activities at Benning Road Service Road over Kenilworth Avenue SE in The District of Columbia Bridge Network.
This work will be performed on Friday September 11, 2020 thru Thursday, September 24, 2020, weather permitting. The curb lane of the service road and one lane of Kenilworth Avenue under the service road will be closed. The work will take place between the daily rush hours 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.
One lane will always be open to traffic on each road at all times.
Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.
Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
