Temporary Lane Closure on South Capitol Street Southbound on September 9, 2020

 

 

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close a single lane on the following roadway to perform soil testing for the South Capitol Street Trail Project. 

 

The following single lane closure will be in place from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, weather permitting:

  • Left lane of South Capitol Street southbound at approximately 1/3 mile north of Malcolm X Avenue

This work is part of the South Capitol Street Trail design and is necessary for a soil investigation near the retaining wall in the median between northbound and southbound South Capitol Street.

 

Motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in this area, to anticipate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel.
