Temporary Lane Closures on Constitution Avenue NW on August 29 through August 30, 2020 

 

 

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be implementing partial lane closure on Constitution Avenue NW between 19th Street and 23rd Streets NW to facilitate offloading of a new barrier transfer machine to be used at Theodore Roosevelt Bridge; weather permitting.

 

This operation will take place beginning 8:00PM Saturday August 29th through 5:00PM Sunday August 30th 2020. Westbound Constitution Avenue closures will be as follows:

 

19th Street – 20th Street – single right lane

20th Street to 21st Street – two right lanes

21st Street to 23rd Streets – three right lanes

        

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.

 

Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection and construction personnel.
