DDOT Traffic Advisory: Bridge and Tunnel Inspection for July 28 through July 30

Bridge and Tunnel Inspection - July 28 through July 30

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT)

will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways for bridge and tunnel inspections:

 

New Jersey Avenue, S.E., under Southeast Freeway (I-695) right shoulder closure of Northbound New Jersey Avenue followed by right shoulder closure of Southbound New Jersey Avenue on Tuesday, July 28, from 10 am to 3 pm, weather permitting

 

I-395 Ramps and I-695 Ramps near South Capitol Street, S.E., right lane closure of Southbound I-395 Ramp to Eastbound Southeast  Freeway (I-695) followed by partial lane closure of  Southbound I-395 Ramp to Southbound South Capitol Street, S.E., followed by a right shoulder closure of Eastbound Southwest/Southeast Freeway Ramp to Southbound South Capitol Street, S.E., on Thursday, July 30, from 10 am to 3 pm,  weather permitting

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
