Bridge and Tunnel Inspection Schedule for the Week of Sunday, June 21, 2020

 

(Washington, D.C.) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close multiple lanes on the following roadways for tunnel inspections:

 

Westbound E Street Expressway (1209) under Virginia Ave., and 23rd Street right lane closures on Sunday, June 21, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

 

Westbound K St Tunnel under Washington Circle (102) right lane closure on Sunday, June 21, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

 

Mall Tunnel (Tunnel 1142) northbound left lanes on Sunday and Monday June 21 and 22, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

 

Eastbound Virginia Avenue Tunnel under 23rd Street (10) closure Monday, June 21, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

 

Connecticut Tunnel Under Dupont Circle (101) southbound lane closure on Monday, June 22, from 8:30 m to 4:30 am

 

Scott Circle Tunnel (100) 16th St northbound closure on Monday, June 22, from 8:30 m to 4:30 am

 

Thomas Circle Tunnel (99) Massachusetts Ave NW eastbound closure on Monday, June 22, from 8:30 m to 4:30 am

 

Mall Tunnel (Tunnel 1142) southbound left lanes on Tuesday and Wednesday June 23 and 24, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

 

Mall Tunnel (Tunnel 1142) northbound right lanes on Thursday June 25, from 8:00 pm to 4:30 am

 

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas.  Motorists should anticipate lite-to-moderate delays due to the lane closures.  Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
