DDOT Traffic Advisory: Temporary Lane Closures on Suitland Parkway SE

Temporary Lane Closures on Suitland Parkway SE on Monday, June 22 through Sunday, June 28

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close Westbound Suitland Parkway, SE between South Capitol Street, SE/SW and Firth Sterling Avenue, SE during weeknights from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am the following morning. These closures will occur on or about Monday, June 22, 2020 through Sunday, June 28, 2020 for bridge demolition, as shown in the below graphic. A marked detour will be in place during these closures.

These closures are necessary for construction activities associated with the South Capitol Street Corridor Project, which includes construction of the New Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge and the reconstruction of the I-295/ Suitland Parkway interchange.
