Progress Update: A Home for the Holidays DC

HFTH Header

Dear Partner,

Our “A Home for the Holidays” campaign progresses with 363 families and individuals who were experiencing homelessness successfully transitioning into a home of their own.

We're working diligently to transition as many households as possible through this special drive. With your help, we can meet our campaign goal of connecting 400 households to stable, affordable housing.

We’re calling on the District's landlord community to partner with DC Government to make more affordable housing available. Contact us at homefortheholidays@dc.gov for additional information and to learn more about our efforts to make homelessness in DC rare, brief and nonrecurring.

In addition to this bulletin, weekly campaign progress updates are available through the “A Home for the Holidays” dashboard, which details housing placements for families and individuals.

Community members may also continue to donate new or gently used houseware, clothing and children's toys at the Adams Place Day Center located at 2210 Adams Place, NE – Shelter Side B, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If you would like to make a donation, view the DHS Wish List, which details items that are kindly requested.

Thank you for your continued support of "A Home for the Holidays."
