From The Mayor

MMB

Dear Washingtonians,

With the World Series coming to Washington, DC this weekend, Events DC and Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) are working with members from across the District to offer special World Series promotions and watch parties. In addition to encouraging fans and residents to use public transportation, to arrive at the ballpark early, to drink responsibly, and to cheer loudly, Mayor Bowser is also encouraging residents and visitors to support local businesses as they celebrate the Nationals and cheer the team on to victory. More information about select watch parties and World Series specials can be found on ramw.org.

“With the World Series in the Sports Capital, we want everyone in DC to be able to have fun and stay safe,” said Mayor Bowser. “As fans and residents prepare to cheer on the Nats as they finish the fight, I am thrilled that so many local businesses are representing their Nationals pride.”

Mayor Bowser is also encouraging residents and fans to visit sportscapital.dc.gov and to text “NATS” to 888-777 to receive important information from District Government on weather, transit, traffic, and more.
