Dear Washingtonians,
Summer is officially here: school is out, outdoor pools are open all week, summer camps have started, Beat the Streets events are popping up across DC, and this week, more than 11,000 young people started their Summer Youth Employment Program assignments at more than 1,700 work sites across the region.
Also open now: the DC Free Summer Meals Program. This program helps ensure that no child or young person in our city goes without breakfast, lunch, or snacks while school is out of session.
Help us spread the word that the DC Free Summer Meals program is now running at more than 250 sites across all eight wards. No matter which site a young person goes to, they can get a free meal or snack, no questions asked - no IDs, forms, or personal information is needed.
Find a Summer Meal site near you by texting "FOOD" to 877-877 or by visiting https://osse.dc.gov/dcsummermeals.
Sincerely,
Celebrate Independence Day with Mayor Bowser at the Barracks Row 4th of July Parade and the Annual Palisades Parade and Picnic!

For the past three years, through the [PLAN] DC amendment process, the Bowser Administration, led by the Office of Planning, have talked to stakeholders, collected proposed amendments, and conducted an in-depth analysis of the current Comp Plan.
Now, after hearing and learning from DC residents, we are designing an amended Comp Plan that is by and for DC residents. To ensure this plan represents all the voices and needs of our community, we have identified eight key values to help shape the future of DC.
We want to know: Are we on the right track? Have we expressed our collective values correctly?
Share your voice and your experiences by taking a quick 10-minute survey HERE.
