Traffic Pattern Shift on Minnesota Ave. NE
Begins December 8
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will shift the traffic pattern on Minnesota Avenue NE between the Metro Bus Depot exit and Benning Road NE. Both the southbound and northbound traffic lanes will be shifted to the west side of the roadway from Saturday, December 8, 2018 through January 7, 2019, weather permitting.
Variable Message Boards will be used to warn motorists that southbound and northbound lanes of Minnesota Avenue are shifting to allow for the safe installation of the new roadway. This work is a part of the ongoing Minnesota Avenue Phase II Rehabilitation Project.
Pedestrians and motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful construction personnel.
