Temporary Lane Closures on Whitehurst Freeway begin September 10
(Washington, DC) — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close a single lane eastbound or westbound on the Whitehurst Freeway underneath the Key Bridge.
The closures will occur nightly from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am beginning Monday, September 10 through Friday, September 14, 2018 weather permitting.
These closures are a part of the ongoing Key Bridge Rehabilitation Project and are required for scaffolding installation and inspections on the Key Bridge Span over the Whitehurst Freeway.
Motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful construction personnel.
