Dear Washingtonians,
Join me on Wednesday, September 12, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for the District’s first-ever Maternal and Infant Health Summit. With mayors and health experts from across the nation, we will focus on a critical issue that affects women,
children, and families every day: infant and maternal
health.
Throughout the day-long summit, we'll discuss best infant and maternal health practices and begin the process of developing a
nationwide agenda for addressing the needs of all women. The challenges we face regarding maternal and infant health are neither inevitable nor intractable. By sharing our experiences, equipping mothers and stakeholders with information and
best practices, and working together on solutions that meet the needs of our communities, we can advance the health and well-being of women in
Washington, DC and beyond.
Learn more about the Maternal and Infant Health Summit at dcmaternalhealth.com and
join us on September 12 for this important conversation.
Sincerely,
