Deanwood Town Center PUD Application Approved for Public Hearing
On December 11, 2017, the DC
Zoning Commission held a set down hearing for the Planned
Unit Development (PUD) application for Deanwood Town Center (Case Number
17-19). The Town Center will be located
at the corner of Nannie Helen Burroughs and Division Avenue, directly across the
street from the planned Strand development. The
project includes 183 housing units, including 61 replacement units for Lincoln
Heights and Richardson Dwellings. The
Zoning Commission has scheduled a full public hearing for March 15th. Click below

Providence Place and Strand Get Key Zoning Approvals
Providence Place, a proposed development at 49th Street and Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, has received final approval of its PUD application from the Zoning Commission. This marks another key step in bringing 93 affordable units to the neighborhood, 35 of which will be replacement public housing for Lincoln Heights and Richardson Dwellings. The Strand, a proposed development at the corner of Division Avenue and Nannie Helen Burroughs, has received a preliminary vote of approval of its PUD application from the Zoning Commission. The project is scheduled for its final vote on January 29th. Strand will provide 86 units of affordable housing, 28 of which will be replacement public housing units for Lincoln Heights and Richardson Dwellings.  The first NeighborUp Marvin Gaye Network Night gathering was held December 12, 2017 at the Riverside
Center. This "party with a purpose" was a gathering of community members who are actively engaged in learning
about and advocating for the interests of Lincoln Heights and Richardson
Dwellings residents as redevelopment efforts continue in the community. In addition to discussing issues that concern
community members, those who attended also enjoyed an evening of music, food, fun
