CBEs Can Learn More About 3 Sites at Dec. 29 Pre-Bid Meeting
Action Step 2 of Vacant to Vibrant DC is now underway—the DC
Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) has issued the first
three solicitations for Certified Business
Enterprises (CBEs) to bid on opportunities to rehabilitate vacant
properties into workforce housing.
Vacant to Vibrant DC, launched by Mayor Bowser
on December 15, is a five-point action plan that will transform DHCD’s vacant
property inventory into workforce housing and green space, as well as teach how
tiny homes can fit into the DC landscape. The initiative also will spur more $5
million in economic development for small businesses such as CBEs.
The following solicitations (Phase 1) are now
open to the CBE community:
-
Doc358471: FY18-DHCD Rehabilitation of
Property, 850 19th Street NE
-
Doc358477: FY18-DHCD Rehabilitation of
Property, 4404 Foote Street NE
-
Doc358439: FY18-DHCD Rehabilitation of
Property, 202 36th Street SE
A pre-bid meeting will be held Friday, December 29,
2017, at 1 p.m., in DHCD's Housing Resource Center, 1800 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE.
Site visits will occur Wednesday, January 3, 2018, as

a.m.
