Recently, on a Friday afternoon broadcast, Abdul Adams was featured on NBC 4 because he is a success story. Adams, who found himself without stable housing after aging out of foster care two years ago, went to Covenant House DC this past May, desperate for employment and housing.
“I didn’t have a bed. I was sleeping on the floor or on the couch at one relatives house or another. When I couldn’t go to an uncle’s house, I would find a friend or sometimes a different relative. I just did what I could to survive,” said 23-year-old Adams. Read more
