Office of LGBTQ Affairs News & Notes
May 2016
May marks the start of Pride season in Washington, DC!
This month, the Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs will do targeted outreach at Youth Pride Day, Trans Pride and DC Black Pride. Each of these Pride events give us an opportunity as a community to truly appreciate the diversity of the LGBTQ community and gives every LGBTQ person an opportunity to feel a sense of belonging that many of us take for granted. Pride gives us an opportunity to celebrate every LGBTQ person, to come together as a community and to celebrate the progress we are making towards full equality.
