Data Analytics for Everyone

“Without data, you’re just another person with an opinion,” was an idea often touted by renowned statistician Edwards Deming. And he has a point.

Gone are the days when employees could pitch a new idea, ask for a promotion or even brainstorm a new process without metrics. Metrics make the case but figuring out how to use data can be tricky for employees who aren’t data scientist by trade.

Join GovLoop and NextGen online Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 2-2:45 p.m. ET/11-11:45 a.m. PT to learn how to use metrics to make your point, communicate more effectively and make your arguments stronger.

Specifically, you’ll learn:

  • The data basics, like how to track, record and use metrics effectively.
  • The biggest barriers agencies face when using metrics for the first time.
  • How to make data a compelling asset in your arsenal and not just facts and figures.

How to Deal With Imposter Syndrome

Have you ever stepped into a new role or taken the lead on a project, only to feel horribly unqualified? This feeling of self-doubt, inadequacy or insecurity around professional responsibilities is not only stress-inducing but can significantly impede your growth and confidence at work.

The good news is that you’re not alone. According to a recent clinical research paper, nearly 70% of the U.S. population has experienced imposter syndrome. Why are so many of us struggling with it and how we can overcome it?

Join NextGen and GovLoop on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. ET at the GovLoop office in Washington, D.C. for networking and an interactive presentation on how you can overcome imposter syndrome.

Specifically, you’ll learn:

  • Why employees suffer from imposter syndrome in the first place.
  • Steps and strategies you can take to overcome the anxiety associated with imposter syndrome.
  • How to spot imposter syndrome behaviors before they take hold by participating in interactive exercises.

    You'll hear from:

Wendie Veloz, Founder & Chief Wellness Motivator, Wellness Grind
