DC Area Liason Committee

Looking for a way to develop your leadership skills? YGL is looking for committed and enthusiastic leaders to join the YGL DC Area Liaison Committee! If you are interested in helping to expand YGL's reach to the areas outlying DC, please email Denise Joseph at Denise.Joseph@hhs.gov for more information.

Membership Engagement Task Force

YGL is seeking members from all YGL chapters to join its Membership Engagement Task Force! The task force will be examining ways to improve member engagement nationwide. Task force members will have an opportunity to work on developing the task force charter and business practice guidelines to be used by YGL chapters. The anticipated term for the task force is 6 months with the possibility of extension up to a year. Individuals interested in joining the task force should send a statement of interest no longer than 100 words to the YGL Chief Operations Officer, Ogo Ekwuabu, at oekwuabu@younggov.org.

Spread the Word – DHS is Hiring!

Over the next several weeks, DHS will host webinars for potential and current applicants to provide information on DHS career opportunities, direct hire authorities, veterans’ preference and other hiring authorities for veterans, effective resume writing, how to create a profile on USAJOBS, and how to make a resume searchable.
