NextGen Collage

NextGen 2019 Was A Success!

On July 25th - 26th, GovLoop and YGL came together to create an amazing experience for government professionals from around the country during the NextGen Training Summit. We were able to learn, laugh, and network with our fellow govies. With keynote speakers such as, Kate Peters, author of Can You Hear Me Now? and Dr. Brandi Baldwin, CEO of Millennial Venture Holdings, just to name a few, and 25 breakout sessions/workshops, there was no shortage or personal and professional growth opportunities. And let's not forget about our NextGen Public Service Award recipients who were recognized in front of their peers for their contributions to public service.

Thank you to all who attended and we hope to see you in 2020!

You can see more photos and get more information about the great time that was had at NextGen on Twitter @YGLNational or @NextGenGov.

The Department of Commerce, Office of Civil Rights, is hosting their Inaugural “First Generation Professionals” (FGP) Summit, on September 12, 2019, 8:30am - 12noon. This is a first of its kind federal diversity and inclusion event that will highlight people who are the first in their immediate families to enter the professional work environment (i.e. their parents held traditional blue-collar positions or those that did not require a college degree).
