Miguel's Corner

We are at a pivotal moment for our generation, our government, and the future of civic engagement. For many of us, we experienced our first presidential transition as government employees which brought in itself a number of changes this past month. Many of them ignited very strong feelings on both sides of the coin. It is important to remember however, that engagement ought to continue despite the differences in opinions because government will always need smart people with new ideas trying to impact and improve citizens’ lives. We need an engaged generation that wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves and believes that what they do matters. Let's all come together and support each other.

Rebels at Work

 Be a Rebel at Work

We'd like to invite you a to a FREE seminar on how to get concrete ideas, techniques and advice on how to refine your thinking, improve your approach to work, and manage yourself so you can achieve more and stay sane and optimistic in the process. YGL brings you Ms. Carmen Medina, one of the authors of the book Rebels at Work. Carmen Medina was a heretic at CIA. She believes ALL organizations would benefit from listening more to the ideas of their employees--the heretics, mavericks and rebels at work who care enough about their organization to speak up even when the safer path is to keep quiet.  There will be free refreshments and a chance to win a signed copy of her book.
