Since early April, crews have been working hard to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Weld County Road (WCR) 32 and WCR 9.5 ( aka High Plains Boulevard) — one of two roundabouts in the project. In this early phase of construction, the relocation of some water lines — owned by Little Thompson Water District — is also taking place. Work at the intersection is expected to continue through the Fourth of July weekend. After that, the road will reopen, and the roundabout will accommodate east, west, and southbound travelers.
The north leg of the roundabout will be fully opened when the rest of High Plains Boulevard is completed between WCR 32 and WCR 34, expected in October of this year.
During the intersection closure at WCR 32 and 9.5, access to the Rocky Mountain Milkhouse will remain available.
