Our mission is to serve as an advisory liaison between the faith-based community and the Weld County Commissioners. Established in 2008.
Project Connect: Volunteers Needed!
The one-day, one-location event to support members of the community in need of services and resources ranging from housing, employment, health, education, and quality of life improvements needs navigators. The event supports neighbors who qualify as low-income residents, people experiencing homelessness, or anyone in danger of becoming homeless due to the threat of foreclosure, job loss, and other critical issues that can interrupt a life. Navigators guide guests through the services after a brief checklist review with the guest. The goal is for service providers, government agencies, community organizations, and community volunteers to provide 1:1 service and support for community guests and ensure their needs are met efficiently and effectively.
Weld Project Connect is Oct 15, 2021. Sign up today at https://www.unitedway-weld.org/ then under “Get involved” tab and Volunteer. Navigators will receive training prior to the one-day event. Please contact Margie Martinez at Margie@unitedway-weld.org if you have questions.
