WALKING BOOK CLUBFRIDAY, OCTOBER 8 | 11:30 A.M.No grass grows under this group's feet. They're a walking, talking book club. Our Walking Book Club is a fun, social outing with social distancing. Come even if you have not read this month's title. Instead, share what you are reading with the group. We will meet in the library's Galleria and head out for a discussion of October's Books 'n Bites title, “Where’d you go, Bernadette: a novel” by Maria Semple. Get your body moving to the beat of Zumba with Maria Sugiedy Rivera. Zumba is perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on. We'll be together in spirit but safe at home! KNIT NIGHT1st & 3rd MONDAY OF THE MONTH | 5:00 P.M.We're back and knitting in the library's social computer area. Join this group of fiber artists who love to knit, learn from each other and socialize. Bring a project or start one here, all abilities and skill levels are welcome at Knit Night! Grab one of the library’s many knitting or crochet books for inspiration, and enjoy an evening with fellow crafters. RSVP to Cricket at CPylman@vailgov.com by 3 p.m. is required. Our teacher, Amy Cohen, is a volunteer and we want to respect her time and schedule.

GIRLS WHO CODE CLUB
EVERY 4TH THURSDAY OF THE MONTH | 3:30 P.M.
Girls Who Code (GWC) is on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.
GWC is a club at Vail Public Library for girls going into 3rd to 5th grades. Mark and Lelia Conlon will be our club facilitators.
All interested girls in this age group are encouraged to join.

What is a Teen Advisory Board?
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is group of teen volunteers from the community. Activities may include:
- Suggesting books, movies, and other materials for the library to add to its collection
- Giving feedback on programs and services for teens
- Working on new programs and services for teens
- Volunteering at library events
Who can join?
Teens (13-18) living in Eagle County
Why join?
- Have a voice in the programs and materials we offer and be an advocate for your peers
- Participation counts for volunteer/community service hours
- Enhance your college applications and resumes
- Gain leadership and teamwork skills
Board members should attend our monthly meetings regularly, with the possibility for other volunteer opportunities. Meetings will take place via Zoom on the second Monday of each month from 5 - 6 P.M. starting on October 4.
