The Superior Community Center (1500 Coalton Road) is a place for learning and community fun! You can view all events and programs and register online through the SCC calendar. 

Announcements

Upcoming Facility Closures The community center will close at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 for a private event. It reopens at 6 p.m. and will remain open until 10 p.m.  The facility will be closed in observance of the Easter holiday on Sunday, March 31. Regular business hours resume Monday, April 1.  Wishing a Happy Easter to all who celebrate!

ENTERTAINMENT & EVENTS

JAMMIN' Feud
Friday, March 29
7 to 9 p.m.

Teams go head to head in four rounds of feud-style trivia. The two top-scoring teams battle it out in a championship round. Win prizes from Boss Lady Pizza, Blue Sport Stable and more!

FREE Ukulele Jam
Monday, April 1
4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Come jam, have fun and practice your ukulele skills in a fun, supportive environment with players of all abilities!

Student Art Exhibit Reception
Thursday, April 4
4:30 to 6 p.m.

Join us for the opening reception of the second annual local student art exhibit and support young artists from Superior Elementary, Eldorado and Monarch PK-8 schools! Light snacks will be provided.

JAMMIN' Music Bingo
Friday, April 5
7 to 9 p.m.

Like Bingo? Like music? Like prizes? Join us for JAMMIN' Music Bingo! Listen to a clip of a song, find that song on your bingo card, and see if you have the winning card.

Live Music - Steve & the Cruisers
Saturday, April 6
7 to 9 p.m.

Steve & the Cruisers is a five-piece locally based band that plays '60s, '70s, '80s and beyond pop and rock dance songs. The band features two female lead singers who sing familiar songs with lots of harmonies!

Upcoming Programs 

Indian Cooking Class (18+) 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 12: Create and enjoy a beautiful vegetarian Indian meal from scratch! Participants will make Masala Paratha (unleavened whole wheat flat bread) and Navratan korma (creamy cashew-based korma)! Bring a rolling pin and gallon-size plastic bag to class.

Toast 'n Tinker "Monet's Water Lilies Pond" (16+) 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 12: Unleash your inner artist and paint your own masterpiece under the guidance of local artist Cora Bracho! Arrive early to check in and secure your seat. Register now.

Cat Preparedness Informational Seminar (All ages) 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20: Help prepare your cats and households for future disasters! The program covers critical cat training behaviors, including body sensitivity, crating, recalls and more! There is a virtual option for those who can't attend in person.

The Summer 2024 Recreation Guide is coming soon! The Summer 2024 Recreation Guide will be available at superiorrec.com on April 1. The printed guide will be delivered to homes that week. Mark your calendars! Registration for summer enrichment and fitness programs opens at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 8. There are fun activities and programs for all ages and interests, including many at the community center. Have questions or need assistance?
