The FREE Art Therapy program that launched last month has been very successful that several sessions have had waiting lists. The program continues to be slightly modified so that more residents can participate each month.
In partnership with the Superior Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Superior's Cultural Arts and Public Spaces (CAPS) Committee, the art therapy program is available to current or displaced Superior, Louisville and unincorporated Boulder County residents who were impacted by the Marshall Fire.
Sessions take place at the Superior Chamber of Commerce Business Assistance Center at 300 Center Drive, Superior CO, 80027, (located just east of Crumbl Cookies in the Superior Marketplace). Each session is 90-minutes. Please view the FAQs to find more information about the program.
New session sign-ups will open at the beginning of each month. Sign up for a session via Sign up Genius.
This program was made possible due to a generous corporate sponsorship from Friday Health Plans, a health insurance company based in Denver.

If you did not make it to the opening reception of the En Plein Air art Exhibit at the Superior Community Center, fear not, there is still plenty of time to behold the beautiful Purple Park inspired paintings.
Plein air painting, the act of painting outdoors, was a CAPS event in the fall of 2021 and the finished paintings are now on display. The works of 13 professional artists and several youth's string-art paintings were all inspired by the picturesque surroundings at Purple Park.
The exhibit will be up through August 2022 and most all of the paintings are available for purchase. Please come by and take a look!

Engage your child in stories and get a little you-time, too! The Superior Youth Leadership Council (SYLC) is hosting a FREE read-aloud series. While this event was created with families affected by the fires in mind, all are welcome.
Children can bring in a favorite book or choose a new book to explore from our library. Caregivers are asked to remain close by in the building but are welcome to enjoy a little time to themselves.
This program will be hosted at the Superior Community Center every 2nd Friday of the month starting in May 13! Registration is requested but not required. If you have questions, please contact SYLC Staff Liaison, Mikaela Gregg at mikaelag@superiorcolorado.gov
