Hungry Hungry Heroes!

The Superior Chamber is connecting generous residents, struggling restaurants, and hungry medical personnel and first-responders. To do so, it has created an ongoing virtual event each Wednesday in April. Chamber members and non-members can sign up for $5, $10, $25, $50, or $100. Each Wednesday, Chamber staff will take the donated amount for that week and will buy food from member restaurants and deliver them to area hospitals, in cooperation with the hospital staff, at the times the food is most needed. “A lot of people wanted to help these heroes, but it was cumbersome to figure out how to get a gift card and get it to the hospitals. We are just providing the process and it’s a big win for everyone,” said Chamber executive director T.J. Sullivan. The Chamber collected more than $1,500 in the first 72 hours of the new campaign.
