“In a connected world, cybersecurity is a shared responsibility.” ~Newton Lee
Cybersecurity Awareness Month originated in October 2004 as a public-private partnership between the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) to educate the public on the increasing threat of cyber attacks and promote digital safety practices.
For over 20 years, the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has provided information and tools to help individuals, businesses and State, Local, Tribal and Territorial (SLTT) Governments stay safe and secure, and this year is no different!
Visit CISA's Cybersecurity Awareness Month website to see what tools and information are available for you and your organization!
Colorado's State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) application period is now open. Local governments and special districts can apply for Crowdstrike Falcon Complete protection for their endpoints, and have at least 60% of the costs covered by the grant program for the next year.
October 22: Driving Smarter Decisions - GIS Collaboration for Local Government Leaders with Argis Solutions.
Geospatial data plays a critical role in informed decision-making across local government operations. Yet, its full potential often remains untapped due to barriers such as limited access, lack of technical understanding, and time constraints among internal stakeholders. Join Argis Solutions, Inc. for an insightful webinar focused on overcoming these common challenges.
November 12: Designing Intuitive User Experiences for Users and Data Analysts with Cornflower Labs.
Join us as Cornflower Labs shares their experience and advice from working on data projects across our state. Cornflower will share what "good data in, good data out" looks like in data entry processes and discuss how data quality starts with data entry. They will also highlight how to resolve data input and UX challenges to transform visualization and data analysis capabilities in teams like yours.
At SIPA's User Conference last month, SIPA GovGrants Program Director Noah Kaplan moderated a panel highlighting three of the program's recipients: Town of Crested Butte, Englewood Schools, and the Colorado Digital Service. Representatives from each grantee shared valuable insights on how they are using their grants to drive impact and what they believe helped their projects stand out in the highly competitive grant program.
