Mesa County was managing an abundance of county documents which required signing, tracking, and delivering. Mesa County was using numerous hours collecting signatures and spending funds copying paper documents.

The Challenge: An office productivity tool was needed to expedite the signing and delivery of local business documents to more efficiently and effectively conduct county business. The customer required a secure and trusted tool to increase productivity to save time and money.

SIPA's Technology Solution: Mesa County elected to utilize DocuSign, a digital management transaction platform, that provides electronic signature services for accelerating transactions by sending, signing, tracking, and storing documents in the cloud.

Efficiency & Productivity: Self-service forms, electronic signatures, work flows, out-of-the-box connectors; works anywhere, anytime, on any device.

Results: Mesa County is utilizing DocuSign for: contracts, agreements, purchase requests and purchase orders, electronic warrants and arrest affidavits for law enforcement, District Attorney and courts, employee evaluations, employee transactions, customer applications and secure information collection. Dianne Edwards, SIPA's Bookkeeper and Office Manager, was instrumental in whipping our accounts and office into shape over the past five years. "Thank you Dianne for your hard work and dedication. Your work truly made a lasting and positive impact in so many ways. We will miss you." says Catherine Kunst, SIPA's Acting Executive Director. Since starting in 2015, SIPA doubled its customer base and Dianne managed the growth without any additional help. Dianne also increased operational efficiency and markedly improved accounts receivables. "I've enjoyed being part of a great team that has grown so much over the past five years. I'll miss the partnerships we have made with our customers and our vendors. I could not have found a better job or co-workers!" says Dianne.

Congratulations, now the fun begins. Best wishes on your new chapter in life!

The Colorado Census response rate was 66.0% as of July 30, 2020. Colorado's response rate is currently 16th among states. However, Colorado’s response rate is still 1.2 percentage points lower than its 2010 level. There is still time to complete the Census. Encourage your communities to respond today online, by phone, or by mail. Self-response keeps Census takers from having to come to your door and saves your taxpayer dollars. It is not too late to be counted!

Communities can use the tools below to track the response rate and target their outreach:

  • Daily response rate data is available from the Census Response Rate Map.
  • SDO has developed a new tract-level response rate map showing the latest response rate data and the composition of tracts by race and ethnicity. Access the map here.
  • An alternative presentation of this information is available on the Hard to Count Map maintained by the City University of New York.
  • These tools allow for investigation of response rates at the county, municipal, and tract level. You can use this information to direct your outreach efforts through the extended Census self-response period, currently scheduled to end on September 30, 2020.
