Comcast Fiber Optic Project Work in Gypsum
For the week of 10-17-22

  • Four new areas of Town are now serviceable. The two remaining areas in the Eagle River Estates neighborhood, the last remaining portion of Cotton Ranch, and part of the Hardscrabble Ranch neighborhood are moving from ORANGE to GREEN on the map. The streets and surrounding areas below are now serviceable:

    - Prince Ln. (west of the Eagle River)
    - Willowstone Ct.
    - Willowstone Pl.
    - Yorkview Dr.
    - Higgins Ct.
    - Whistlers Cove
    - Cottonwood Pass Rd. (west of Gypsum Creek Rd.)
    - Amherst Rd.
    - Yale Ct.

  • GREEN area reminder: When an area on the map changes to GREEN, this indicates that the backbone network is available in the area, it has been tested, and is ready for residential and business connections. However, if the business or residence is more than 150 feet from the network infrastructure, additional steps may be required to complete the connection and install services.
    - If you’re seeking service at a residence, please call 1 (800) XFINITY (934-6489) for more information.
    - If you’re a local business, please contact local Comcast Business representative and Gypsum resident, Tim Shannon at Timothy_Shannon@cable.comcast.com or (970) 401-1023.
    - If you have questions about installing and burying a Comcast service line on private property, please contact Michael Cauchi at mcauchi@takcommunications.com or at (989) 802-3535.

  • Additional construction needed to prepare some neighborhoods for future service installation work. A few areas of Town are moving from GREEN back to ORANGE on the map, and residents in these areas will see construction crews doing some additional underground work over the next two weeks. Crews are laying additional conduit, which will make it possible for homes in these areas to get service installations through the winter months when underground construction is not possible. We anticipate this work will be completed by Oct. 21. The following streets and surrounding areas are affected:

    - Timberwolf
    - Black Bear Dr.
    - Mayne St.
    - Coyote Pl.
    - Lara Pl.
    - Cottage Dr.
    - S Legend Dr.
    - Ridgeline Ln.

  • Four more areas moving closer to serviceability. Two areas adjacent to the roundabout and Hwy 6 and two areas along Eagle St. west of Hwy 6 have moved from ORANGE to BLUE on the map. Crews will be completing network connections which will impact the following streets and surrounding areas:

    - I-70 Frontage Rd.
    - Riverview Rd. (west of Ute Ln.)
    - Ute Ln.
    - Trail Gulch Rd.
    - Bertroch Ln.
    - Scotch Creek Rd.

  • MAP LEGEND REMINDER
RED indicates that work has not started, prior work has yet to resume, or work has stopped due to weather.
ORANGE indicates locate and construction work in process.
BLUE indicates network connection work (placing pedestals, pulling fiber through placed conduit, and connecting new lines to the Comcast network) and in some cases, locate work.
GREEN indicates that work and restoration is complete, and homes and businesses may sign up for Comcast service.
LIGHT GREEN outline indicates aerial (above ground) work.
