HAWK Signal on the 3400 Block of S. Broadway🚶
Construction will kick off in early May 2026 on the HAWK traffic signal at the existing midblock crossing on the 3400 block of South Broadway between Englewood Pkwy/Girard Avenue and Hampen Avenue. This project is designed to enhance pedestrian safety and improve the flow of our vibrant downtown corridor.
The project construction will last approximately one month with minor impacts to traffic and parking in downtown Englewood.
Fire Hydrant Flushing Scheduled April 20-May 1 💧
Water distribution crews will begin annual fire hydrant flushing on April 20 and continue through May 1. During this routine maintenance, crews open hydrants at full flow to help remove sediment and mineral buildup from water mains.
As this material is flushed through the system, some customers may notice temporary discoloration or brown water from their taps. If this occurs, run cold water for a few minutes until it clears. This is a normal, short-term effect of the flushing process and does not impact overall water safety.
We appreciate your patience as crews complete this important work to maintain water quality and system reliability.
For questions or concerns, contact the utilities department at 303-762-2635.
