Executive Summary
2025 was a strong and productive year for Englewood’s business community, marked by growth, investment, and continued momentum across multiple sectors. More than 200 businesses registered throughout the year, reflecting sustained entrepreneurial activity and confidence in Englewood as a place to start, expand and invest. Emerging companies such as Tersus Solutions and Opopop continued to scale their operations, while long-standing community anchors like Breakfast Queen and Meadow Gold demonstrated the resilience and stability that define Englewood’s economic landscape.
This progress reflects a combination of local advantages and intentional strategy. Englewood’s central location and relative affordability within the metro region are reinforced by proactive city investments in infrastructure and revitalization projects, including the Old Hampden Utility Improvements, Lead Reduction Program and South Broadway Revitalization efforts. At the same time, business support programs, accessible permitting processes, and state incentives such as the Enterprise Zone continue to help companies grow and reinvest locally.
Looking ahead to 2026, the City’s Economic Development Strategic Plan will guide continued focus on strengthening business retention and expansion, supporting entrepreneurs and advancing key initiatives. A central part of this work is collaboration. Englewood’s network of strategic partners provides expertise across every stage of the business lifecycle, from startup advising and workforce training to financing, growth planning, and succession support. We encourage businesses to connect with us so we can help navigate available resources and ensure Englewood remains a place where businesses and the community thrive together.
