Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Coming Live Soon
Electric vehicle charging infrastructure is about to become increasingly more accessible here in Englewood. In 2025 the City of Englewood went under contract to install public electric vehicle charging stations at five locations that will go live this spring. These locations and their charging speeds are:
- Pirates Cove Waterpark (level 2)
- Broken Tee Golf Course (level 2)
- Englewood Recreation Center (level 3 fast charger)
- Malley Recreation Center (level 3 fast charger), and
- Centennial Park (level 2)
Onboarding of the locations is expected between mid-March to end of May 2026. The City is also installing level 2 chargers at its Service Center to support the transition of appropriate vehicles to electric. The installation of these chargers aligns with the City's adopted Electric Vehicle Action Plan, which you can find here.

Sustainable Business Partnership Biz Highlight
Anna Shea, Executive Director of Lucky Bikes
Can you share a little about your business story and what makes you unique?
Lucky Bikes is a community focused social enterprise bike shop. We want to keep bikes accessible to everyone, especially kids. We do that through recycling donated used bikes and keeping them on the road.
What inspired you to join the Sustainable Business Partnership program?
Sustainability is important to the work we do and is closely tied in with our mission. We love bikes as tools for transportation, and also outdoor recreation.
What sustainability improvements or practices are you most proud of so far?
Working with groups to encourage biking to work has been one of the best improvements. All of our staff now ride to work part time, and we have connected with tons of new riders with the same goal.
How has being part of SBP supported your business and community impact?
It's given us a lot of resources to be sustainable in ways we might not have been able to afford otherwise. It's also important to show that we care about sustainability and to increase the number of businesses who are proud to focus on that.
Resource Library Below are sustainability-related programs and resources eligible to Englewood residents. If there's a program or resource you'd like to be considered to be added to the newsletter, email menglund@englewoodco.gov.
