Sustainability Plan Updates
Each year the City's Strategic Plan goes through updates and modifications. Since the Sustainability Plan is housed within the Strategic Plan it also undergoes these tweaks and changes. The following are how the goals within the Sustainability Plan have been updated as of the April 15, 2024 City Council meeting.
- Community Resilience changed to Climate Action: A community that addresses current and future environmental, economic, and social climate vulnerabilities through implementing climate adaptation and mitigation projects and practices.
- Economic Resilience changed to Sustainable Business and Green Workforce: A community that promotes sustainable business practices and the advancement of the green workforce.
- Built Environment changed from meaning, "Infrastructure designed and maintained in an economic, equitable and ecological manner," to, "Infrastructure that is built and/or operates in ways that eliminate or minimize harm to the environment and increase the health and well-being of its occupants."
- Air Quality changed to Air Quality Education
