The holiday season comes to life at the Englewood Holiday Market & Tree Lighting! Don't miss this hometown event that will delight the little ones and is the perfect place to shop for gifts at the Holiday Market!
Santa Claus is coming to town and will be in The Guild for photos and to talk to all the children from 3 - 5:30 p.m. The event will close out with Mayor Sierra lighting the beautiful Englewood Christmas tree at 5:30 p.m.
Holiday Decorating Contest 🌟
Nominate the most festive house, block/neighborhood and business in all of Englewood! The Neighborhood Resources Program invites Englewood residents (and business owners) to participate in the annual holiday decorating contest. You can nominate your home, business, or talk to your neighbors to enter your entire block or neighborhood! Submit your nomination by December 6.
One winner will be chosen from each of the following categories:
- Best House ($100 award)
- Best Block/Neighborhood ($25 awarded to each home that participates, up to $600)
- Best Business ($100 award)
Grease and Oil Takeback on December 3 🍳
Dispose of your used grease and oil safely, for free!
Residents within South Platte Renew’s service area, which includes the Cities of Englewood and Littleton, as well as 19 connecting sanitation districts, are invited to drop off up to 10 gallons of used oil and grease per household.
Disposal Prep:
- Cooking oil and automotive oil must be separated into different containers and be free from contaminants such as fuels, solvents, or water.
- Cooking oil should be liquid and free of food debris.
- Oil filters, antifreeze, or oil from commercial businesses will not be accepted.

Sock It To ‘Em 🧦
Sock It To ‘Em is back, Englewood! From now until January 18, Englewood is working in collaboration with other Front Range cities to collect socks for our unhoused neighbors. The city is collecting and donating new socks for all ages. Bring any new pairs to any of the below drop-off locations.

The City of Englewood’s quarterly magazine informs residents about city news and programs, and recreational and educational activities and events in the community. The magazine is mailed to all businesses and households within the city limits. That’s 18,500 total addresses! The magazine is also available online at englewoodco.gov, the Malley and Englewood Recreation Centers and the library and Civic Center.

Volunteers Needed: Snow Buddies ❄️
We currently have many people in need of snow removal help waiting to be paired with a snow buddy! Snow Buddies is a voluntary program that connects those who need snow removal assistance with volunteers willing to help, organized by the Neighborhood Resources Program.
Snow Buddy Volunteers are expected to shovel their snow buddy's path from the sidewalk to their front door and the public sidewalk in front of their property within 24 hours of a snowfall from November 15-April 1.
