Englewood’s New & Improved Website 🎉🎉🎉
The time has finally come! The city has launched a brand new and improved website. As you begin to navigate the new website this is what you can expect to find: a user-friendly layout, enhanced spotlight and news section on the homepage and a new design and color scheme. Also check out Service Finder, a tool found at the top of the website to help you navigate to the information you need!

Englewood Engaged Launch 🤝
We have launched a brand-new community engagement platform that gives you the opportunity to follow along with the projects and topics that you are most interested in. Current projects and topics you can follow, include: US-285 & S Broadway Project, Emerald Ash Borer, Oxford Avenue Pedestrian Bridge, Neighborhood Resources Program, and Volunteer Program.
Open Burning Ban Canceled 🔥
The ban on open burning previously implemented by the City of Englewood on November 3, 2020 has been lifted. The authority to implement an Open Burning Ban is provided through Title 6 of the Englewood Municipal Code.

April Hydrant Flushing Coming Soon 💦
The City of Englewood Utilities Department will conduct its annual fire hydrant flushing program starting April 12. During this week, the water mains throughout the city will be flushed between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. The water distribution crews will be opening fire hydrants to full volume to clean residue and sediment from the water mains.
Residents may experience a flow of brown water from their taps during this time. If this occurs, turn on cold water only until the taps are flowing clear.

Steven Ward Appointed to City Council 🏫
Englewood resident Steven Ward has been appointed to the Englewood City Council, filling a seat vacated when former council member John Stone resigned March 1. Ward was sworn in at the March 15 city council meeting.
Swedish Horse Corral Project Winners Announced 🎨🐴
The city was absolutely blown away by the response to this project, from the number of submissions to the stunning designs. With so many submissions, it was a challenge to pick just 10 designs. We are thrilled with the winners and can’t wait to see the Swedish Horses around the city this summer!
South Metro Enterprise Zone Program 💵
Are you aware that all businesses located within the City of Englewood are eligible for Colorado tax credits due to being within the South Metro Enterprise Zone? Now is the time for your business to take advantage of this cost-free resource. Pre-certify your business up to three months before the start of its tax year or anytime during the tax year.
9th Annual Jeremy Bitner Fallen Officer 5k/10k Run/Walk 👮♂️
Registration is now open for the 9th Annual Jeremy Bitner Fallen Officer 5k/10k Run & 5k Walk. The event will take place on Saturday June 19 at Cornerstone Park. The Englewood Police Department has worked closely with Tri-County Health, South Suburban Parks & Recreation, the City of Englewood, and USA Track & Field in order to implement a variance and multiple safety measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable event. Proceeds raised from The Jeremy Bitner Fallen Officer 5K/10K run/walk benefit the Fallen Officer Fund, which assists the families of fallen law enforcement officers in Colorado.

The City of Englewood recently launched a Tiktok channel! Follow along as we explore the city, discover hidden gems and highlight all that Englewood has to offer!
2021 River Clean-Up 🌊🗑
South Platte Renew (SPR) is hosting the River Clean-Up event between April 12 and April 25. Over the two-week period, volunteers can join SPR and the cities of Englewood and Littleton in collecting debris and trash from their neighborhoods, local rivers, lakes or parks.
Help us reach our goal of collecting 100 bags of trash or recycling! Participants must register through the below button.
Be sure to share photos and the number of bags collected with Deb Parker to be counted towards our 100 bag goal!
